  • Hullo, Slawek:--
Just want to wish you a Happy New Year, and want to thank you for being the first to befriend me here at TLO. I am so happy to be here, it has enriched my life as a writer and a personage of human fleshbone. I'm spending these last few hours here at the site, the best of all possible places in which to greet another year of puppetdom.
    Best wishes, my friend,

    My dear yellowish haze:--
This is only my second day logged in. I had some trouble because I thought I had added "esq" to my name but I merely typed "es" and thus every time I try'd to log-in it said piss-off. I'm trying not to join too many sites as I need to concentrate on writing my next two books, but I've admired this one when I would go to ye public library where we can go on-line free one hour every day. This site has enthralled me. The art and graphics are stunning, and people are intelligent and creative. So tell me about yourself, and if you write poetry or fiction I would love to see some of your work. yr. obt. srvt., hopfrog, esq.
Hi Slawek, just a little something that made me nearly die out of laughter:

Slawek, your autumnal photographs are beautiful. You have captured the "festival of colors" which was described so memorably by Ligotti in "The Shadow at the Bottom of the World."

"Ultra deep ambience, based on the first 8 minutes of the movie 'Alien' which depicts the deep space haulage vessel slowly moving through the void. The disc takes you through a slow trip into the ship via tracks DECK A - E, deeper and deeper into the bowels of the 'Nostromo'. Colossal dark ambience from the abyss"
"'Not many men have the ability to turn into gas,' said Simplon with gravitas.

Haze shrugged – he was destined for this glory because of his name, no doubt. He did not query such a paradox as a name preceding what the name was not yet famous for or had not yet created the fame for itself in hindsight. Such tributes by naming usually followed a different direction. God was only called God after the event. He shrugged again. Saint Yellowish Haze. Sounded good. He now smiled."

Hello, Slawek! I just came across this image online, and thought you might like it. It was nice to meet you some weeks ago in Flashchat! Hope you are well.

    Best,
