An Impressive Dark Gem

Re: CATHR Online - Release Notes

Those who still claim that Necronomicon doesn’t exist should reconsider changing their opinion!

THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE is an impressive dark gem and it really makes one wonder how such a book could have been conceived. However, I would prefer to reserve my further thoughts about it till I reach the last page - unless by that time, the book enables me to correlate all contents of my mind.

Page 62: “One might also fairly opine that he was never pained enough, as was Nietzsche, to consider suicide as a fall-back position should his miseries became too much for him to bear.”

Shouldn’t this be “become”?

Dear yellowish haze,

Thank you for your comments and the typo correction. As for how CATHR could be conceived, much of it draws upon thoughts I've been lugging around for decades. The non-praiseworthy reasons for reproduction were provided by pregnant women I polled. None of them were offended when I brought up the subject and all readily agreed with me. Their attitude toward their pregnancies was not, of course, changed by my query, and it was not my intention to change it. One of them who returned from a pregnancy leave at the company where I used to work said to me, "Well, I reproduced," as though it were a duty she had gotten out of the way. She was--and still is, I assume--a very a very witty and intelligent woman.

It’s an honor. Thank your for your kind response and for the anecdote you provided– it’s always interesting to hear where writers get their ideas from or how their lives are related to those ideas.

(Off topic: Bungalow Bill still remains one of my favorite cases of how certain grotesque incidents can provide background for a weird tale storyline. Bungalow Bill in his insanity is so suitable for your stories that one is prompted to wonder whether it is writers who select ideas they like or it is ideas that are maneuvered by some enigmatic force and thrown by it into the daily routine of an appropriate author. Just a thought.)

I still haven’t finished CATHR but I’m already looking forward to the Durtro edition.
