[Thomas Ligotti] Said, Tina, ed . Animality. San Francisco: Animality, 1982. First edition. 4to, xeroxed in black and white and stab-stapled in orange card covers.
A beautifully designed horror and art zine, perhaps betraying a post-situ influence, with beautiful high contrast, high detail xeroxes of cut-up collages on the theme of animals and abuse, including appropriated imagery. This issue is notable for including a poem by Thomas Ligotti, "One Thousand Painful Variations Performed Upon Divers Creatures Undergoing the Treatment of Dr. Moreau, Humanist", an appearance of this piece which is previously unknown to us and perhaps unrecorded. Also, work by Harry O. Morris, Jr., Deborah Valentine, G. Sutton Breiding, billy Wolfenbarger, Chris Pasanen, Alva Svoboda, Tim Caldwell, Janice Peshka, and William Breiding.
