Conspiracy release?

I just ordered my copy of Collapse volume IV, which contains an excerpt from Ligotti's Conspiracy. This from the Collapse website:

"In Thomas Ligotti's own contribution to the volume, Thinking Horror, he takes up the work of obscure Norwegian philosopher Peter Zapffe, among others, to take an unflinching journey into the depths of pessimistic thought."

Can't wait. Who else has placed an advanced order for the magazine?

I've ordered it as well. Too bad that it probably won't arrive in time for me to include in my BA thesis on Ligotti.

I haven't ordered my copy yet. I'm going to see if I can order it through Borders and save on shipping. Things ain't exactly prosperous around the bendk household these days. But I am trying to get my mind right for some of the essays by reading a few chapters from Lovecraft: Disturbing the Universe by Donald Burleson and The Gift of Death by Jacques Derrida. I like these types of essays on occasion, but I prefer stuff in the Nietzsche, Cioran, and Ligotti mode. I fear the giggling ghost of Sokol, which is odd, because he is very much alive.

I don't suppose any of you close to Ligotti have any new information regarding the possible release of 'The Conspiracy Against The Human Race'.I badly need a reason to continue living and the hope that the volume will appear will do:-)

I have an answer, but I'll have to ask Tom if he or the publisher wants that information disseminated right now, or if you'll have to wait for an official release statement. That should give you a clue.
I'll get back to you.

Nice to know! I'm not holding my breath, but it would be incredible if it surfaced by the end of the year, just in time for autumn or holiday reading. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for that ,Ascrobius. That's a very exciting hint.By a funny coincidence,I'm 33 today and feel that I'm unlikely to recieve a better present than that piece of tantalisation:-)

Well, I can guarantee with absolute certainty that you are not the last one... Thanks for the link!

That's weird. I was just at Hippocampus' site to order the new collection, A Means to Freedom: The Letters of H. P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, but I completely missed the Ligotti news. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought Durtro was going to print CATHR. It seems that's changed.

Yes, it's Hippocampus Press, and ST Joshi will be editing the work. According to Tom, there will be a hardcover, then a paperback release at some point. It ought to be a beautiful hardback, from what I understand.

That is truly fantastic news.I wonder if any of you close to Ligotti have any idea if he has finished writing fiction.I would imagine that after the effort of TCATHR there would seem very little left to say....
