Good advice for Pessimists and Antinatalists

I personally don't know any pessimists who don't follow this advice.

Even Cioran smiled and laughed.

Here I thought this thread would be about pessimists advising other pessimists how to become more pessimistic or how to avoid optimists

The advices of smiling more, be happy, joining pessimistic FB, sharing ironic jokes are alright, though I'm not sure if I care to be happy.

Whenever I know I am happy, I've the feeling of being duped. Though I know being unhappy doesn't make me any wiser to the unreality of things, unhappiness is like a falling tooth I love to pull on.

I agree there's nothing revelatory in the piece, but I thought it was clear, well-written and compassionate.

Of course if you have Despair lodged deep in your soul, nothing will move that, but I thought it a good statement on its own terms.

This seems like good, common sense advice from Irina. If it's all the same shit, then why not be happy? When I'm in a good mood, or things have actually gone my way on something, then I can share this attitude.

But I usually don't. The reason seems complex, almost beyond understanding, and incurable.

But thanks for the link. At least she doesn't dot the "i" in her name with a happy face.
