Grimoire Magazines

Thank you for sharing those Grimoire Magazines with us, Dr. Bantham. There are three of them that I had never seen before. In my internet travels over the years I have only managed to acquire two issues - # 1 and # 2. I have seen a few others listed but they were priced beyond what I am willing to pay. Issue #1 recently sold on eBay for $40, which I think is reasonable. Issue # 3 is currently up for auction on eBay; the minimum bid is $75 - too much for me. I would probably pay that much for issue # 5, because it has the first printing of my favorite Ligotti story "Dr. Voke and Mr. Veech" and has some TL material never before reprinted: "Nestled in Dread: The Art of Harry O. Morris" [ A review of Scenes from Maldorer by Harry O. Morris]. Is that a portfolio put out by HOM? I can't find any info on it.

I am a little curious as to how scarce these magazines have become. Who out there in Ligottiland owns a copy or two?

Grimoire magazines seem next to impossible to find. Even just googling the name for general info barely brings anything up. What little does come up is vague at best. I've had decent luck with Fantasy Macabre, Crypt of Cthulhu, and Weird Tales. But anything Grimoire, as I'm figuring out, is virtually nonexistent. Would love to get my mitts on #4 for some of that Charles Miguel Riaz goodness.

Looking at a table of contents for Grimoire (here) I see a Ligotti piece I previously didn't even know of. On Grimoire #5 there's a piece titled "to conceive of another world" by Charles Miguel Riaz. Interesting. And I was kinda expecting to see Thomas Wiloch as a regular contributor, but he only has a couple pieces there. Guess he was absolutely focused on his role as editor. (for the sake of reference, knowing I'll never have a complete Wiloch collection is to me as sad as knowing I'll never have a complete Ligotti collection)

Type "riaz" in the Search Forums box. I posted some of Ligotti's stuff from Grimoire years ago.
