iLigotti Mobile Style in Development

Investigatory endeavors have been initiated for a TLO style to accommodate mobile web devices. A new style, iLigotti, has been tentatively created based on the iPhone interface. If you have an iPhone or similar mobile browser, give it a go with the following url:

If you do not have access to a mobile web device but are nonetheless curious, there is an online simulator for general use here:

Just paste the TLO address listed at the beginning of this post into the address bar and browse away. This has been reduced to basic forum browsing and features. Graphics, particularly avatars and embedded images, are awkward at some points. However, this to be considered a first look at the concept. Viewing this on the simulator may change your style on the main browser. If you should find yourself stuck with this style, you can click the "Normal Version" link at the bottom of each page and thereafter select your chosen style once again from the drop-down list that appears thereafter in the same area. Clearing your browser cache will also revert to the default style.

Excellent. There is also the MobiLigotti style for mobile devices which are not as graphically robust as the iPhone or high-end smart phones. Note that if you select these styles from a PC it could be quite frustrating compared to the standard interfaces. You can select the NORMAL VERSION link at the bottom of the page within iLigotti to return to a standard style and the PC MODE link at the top of the page within MobiLigotti to do the same. Feature access is diminished within both styles, but standard content viewing and interaction is formatted for ease of use and speed on a condensed graphics platform with low bandwidth.

I just gave it a whirl on my iPhone, seems to work well. Is there an easy way to see all of the new posts for the entire forum? I usually click the "New Posts" link up by my avatar picture on the top-right part of the page to get that handy list.

Either way, this will make those unexpected periods of waiting for something when I don't have a book with me easier to bear, thanks Dr. Bantham!
