Ligotti Publication News

Anyone know if there's anything new or updated with the Chiroptera Press edition of Teatro Grottesco that's about to go on sale this Friday, 5/30? Chiroptera Press editions are beautiful, but I just can't afford to keep buying the same collections over and over if nothing has been changed or updated.

Nothing new or updated beyond the new art, cover, and illustrations.

I was at work all day and couldn't access the site - sold out by the time I got online. I hope there's a reprint.

Their listing says : Please check back tomorrow at noon eastern time, as we may have more copies available.

So i would check later today, you might get lucky.

I completely missed this. Two remaining copies of the 2nd hardcover edition at Psilowave, if anyone is unaware or has become interested of late. I decided to forgo this purchase, seeing how I have a few editions of the Teatro, including the fantastic Durtro hardcover.

Has anyone heard anything about an audiobook edition of Teatro? I picked up the beautiful Chiroptera hardcover, would love to complement that with an audiobook.

Can anybody explain to me what is this?

Author's Bio
Dr. Raymond Thoss is a clinical psychologist who works primarily with trauma patients, with a specific focus on victims of child abuse and neglect. The kindest thing he can say about his childhood is that he survived it. As a despairing teenager who had lost all will to live, he read Ligotti's omnibus, THE NIGHTMARE FACTORY, straight through in two days while recovering from a vicious beating. Thomas Ligotti saved his life.

As an adult, Dr. Thoss worked in national disaster zones, mental health clinics, academic hospitals, and juvenile detention centers, and has been a faculty member at multiple institutions. His life’s mission: to help the traumatized, the abandoned, and the lost.

Book Synopsis
The pentagram, once a symbol of protection, became corrupted into a mark of darkness. THE REBELLION AGAINST THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE mirrors that transformation, protecting readers through the corruption it reveals.

Five points form this pentagram: "Notes on a Horror" defines the enemy. "Trauma Narration" offers a weapon. "Pensées Noires" contemplates the struggle. "Listening to Monsters" applies Sun Tzu's first principle—know your enemy. "The World As Will And Desolation" applies his second—know yourself.

Built from personal trauma and forged through clinical practice, this work uses Thomas Ligotti's philosophical framework from THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE as its foundation. It provides tools for survival and rebellion, demonstrating that healing emerges not from denying the darkness of human existence, but from acknowledging and confronting it."

In some way TCATHR helped me to bring some peace to my life, so it may be interesting to see, how this self-help book based on it will look. I wonder if the author is one of us, and if he really is medical professional using Ligotti’s book in his work or is it just some persona.

I was extremely happy to read in their newsletter today that Chiropera Press is planning on publishing Thomas Ligotti, Menagerie: Uncollected Early Stuff Sometime in mid to late 2026. I have been waiting and sort of bitching about the need for this for ages rather than repeatedly republishing his readily available works in ever more elaborate and expensive editions. This book is truly needed. I believe that I have everything TL published with the exception of anything only available in the Grimoire zines (I don't remember if anything is exclusive to those at the moment) but it will be great to have everything in high quality hardcovers.
