My New Gretsch Guitar

Since I am compelled to show off my new Gretsch guitar, I decided to create a new Show & Tell forum category. This is my new Gretsch G6119-1962 HT Tennessee Rose. It is a semi-hollow body electric guitar based on a 1962 design. It sounds as good as it looks. I have only managed to play it a couple of times thus far, so I will post again soon and gush on about my new baby. Click on the thumbnail image below to view it in full majesty.

Feel free to post to this new category and feature some of your own favorite non-Ligottian possessions.

Gorgeousity made flesh.

Sort of looks like a Chet-Atkins-in-a-Box (or George Harrison-in-...).

What's the nut width on her?

Happy noodling!

I've played a Gretsch before. I loved the tone I got out of it for jazzy type playing, but it's not exactly suited for metal (mainly the fact that it's a semi hollow).

nice steal though. they're beauties

What a lovely guitar, Brian. I admit to not being familiar with this name, but I know what I like when I see it. If my camera worked, I'd let you see my Eldest Spawn's Regal Resonator (which she begged for, and has since only played for a sum total of 36 minutes. Brat.).

Now, if I can find a Blue Left-handed Rickenbacker Bass model 4003, I'll be a happy man, as well as being prepared for agressive robot attackers.

Cheers!

I simply cannot believe that it has been nearly four years since I procured this guitar. Technically, I have progressed no further than the doorstep of musical meanderings since then. Surely a hole in time devoured my yearnings.

Since my recent relative absence from TLO, I have reacquainted myself with my wayward muse and began to record music. Stay tuned.
