Delighted to receive this colorfully decorated Gibson HP735R acoustic guitar today! I purchased this direct from Vox (formerly known as Mark Burgess), the lead singer and bassist of The Chameleons. In July of 2022, the band was scheduled for a US tour, but visa problems resulted in Vox and Stephen Rice, the drummer, having to go it alone for a scaled back tour. I caught them on what might have been the first show of the tour, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. It was an extremely small but welcoming venue with about 20-30 in attendance. Vox played this Gibson throughout the set, though he pulled out a Seagull for a couple of songs. Stephen did a phenomenal job on electric guitar, though he was originally tagged as the drummer. They played as if there were thousands in attendance, yet with a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Stephen played a Mircrofrets guitar through a Boss multi-effects pedal unit. After the show, Vox and Stephen greeted what was left of the crowd and Vox did a solo acoustic set with this Gibson for at least another hour. I have video of some of this and will try to post it soon. Anyway, at this point the Gibson had the single Chameleons sticker on it, but more were added as the tour progressed. Now she is mine, and she will not remain idle as a collector's treasure!
EDIT
I attached a pic from the performance and there was already a second sticker, being a Van Gogh Doctor Who police box thingie. Did not know of such a thing, but there it is!
