Which game is your favorite?

Hi Everyone, I started a new social group called Gamers R Us. It is primarily meant for those select few of us that play in the arcade here at TLO, but everyone is welcome. My favorite game at the moment(it tends to change almost weekly.hehehe) is fridge words. Please tell us which game is your favorite and if you have a reason why.:D
 
I tried to play that Fridge Words game and got the letter g repeated a good many times (no other letters at all). I couldn't think of a word solely made up of the letter g, and came away with a score of 0. :(
 
Once the letter G's show up you have to drag the top row of g's down and drop them below the next level of g's then the game will start. Does this help at all Odalisque???
 
At the moment - Plupon, as I am still improving my game. And because I think I can become a champion... With Tetris this is impossible. I don't know what fellow member Pagliacci did, but his stratospheric score is utterly dispiriting. :mad: ;)
 
I really like the new games!!! Does anyone have a favorite yet!! I don't know which is my favorite yet. I really like Balls and Squareman. There are so many new games I have not yet been able to play them all.
 
Homerun - that new Snake game - Breakout 2 (very disorienting!) - Timed Addiction (or is that the other way round?), and the list continues (those Balls games are very good, too!).

I am less keen on the more gory ones. But that's me...
 
I really like Homerun also although I have some stiff competition in that game hehehe. I also enjoy the timed addiction and the ball games. The arcade seems to be much busier as of late I am very happy to have competition!!!!:D:D:D
 
It is a long list, but my personal favorites are:

RED, for the ambient panic. :cool:
Amoeba, though I am not yet one with the game. :o
Attack of the Sprouts, for having the best theme song for a game - ever. :drunk:
Balls, because I can identify with the game. ;)
Ball Toucher, although I cannot identify with the game, the songwriter of the theme song is the best ball toucher - ever. :D
Disorientation, because it makes me focus. :confused:
Trogdor, for the superior graphics and audio. :rolleyes:
Miniclip Snake, because it is fun. :)
March Zuma, because conformity brings us all closer together. :(
De-Animator, because the spine-ripping action is therapy for my addition to embracing helplessness. :eek:
The Last Stand, because I need to hone my skills for the coming New America. :mad:
8 Ball Champion, not because it is a favorite, but because I wanted to display the phrase "toe tag in the coroner pocket". :p

Hey - I think that I just might deserve a Golden Skull for Creative Emoting. I managed to use each emoticon in context within a singular post. And to think that my therapist believes that I have issues with expressing myself. Bah!

Move your mouse in the direction of the ladder. The statues will follow the mouse and tilt the structure near the ladder. If you are close enough, they will mount the ladder and ascend. A strange game.
 
Thank you, Dr B. Yes, a very strange game. As if the Japanese are playing out a doom scenario with the world's highest building (in Shanghai)...
 
I thought I would resurrect this thread!! My favorite lately (although I am not good at it) is Plupon. I also really enjoy Tower of Maoi.:D
 
I knew there had to be a video game section on the forum, and I see there is. As for my favorite game... I honestly couldn't say. Today, though, I was playing DOOM because it helps me channel my anxiety and keeps my mind occupied. I was playing SIGIL, John Romero's episode WAD, which was originally an unofficial release but would later be included with The Ultimate DOOM.

Now that you mention it, though, I'd probably say my favorite game is Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. I made the connection because Sandy Petersen worked on DOOM, and that led me from one thought to another. I genuinely think it's the finest adaptation of Lovecraft ever made in a video game—something that neither films nor any other medium has managed to achieve. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is a masterpiece.

If you like DOOM you might enjoy Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Four player online co-op. It's a horde shooter where melee, movement and teamwork matter more than guns. High skill ceiling. A constant demand for making micro-decisions about spacing, dodging, blocking and controlling crowds of enemies.

I'm not overly familiar with Warhammer 40K lore but I'm told that Darktide does a great job capturing the decaying, industrial vibes of that universe.

It's loud, dirty fun with satisfying combat that I think would speak to a fan of DOOM 😈

I’m a huge fan of Warhammer and its various franchises, especially Warhammer 40K. Sadly, I’ve never been able to buy a set of miniatures or anything similar because they’re very expensive here. Even if I could afford them, though, I’d probably be more interested in the miniature modeling aspect, which I find very relaxing.

Other than that, I read novels such as those from the Horus Heresy series, and I play as many Warhammer video games as I can. Sadly, I haven’t been able to play the one you mentioned because my PC can’t run it, even by today’s standards, due to its minimum system requirements.

Nevertheless, I absolutely love Warhammer, and if I ever get the chance, I’ll play that one and many others that I still have on my list.

Similar with me. I like reading novels (and general lore), watching videos and playing video games. I never had a miniature in my hand... And I think that most of the "Warhammer fans" are like that :)
