This is some stuff I have had knocking around for a few years. As they are all over the place, I better explain. The first two are photography with some enhancement. The third one is a composite that I did in April 2020, when COVID was young and exciting. #4, #5 & #6 are based on my photographs with some early AI enhancements. By early, I mean the "puppy slug/DeepDream" style AI that came out in 2015 (not Midjourney, DALL-E etc that came much later). #7, #8 & #9 start with mathematical pictures of things called "Flame Fractals" and then using them as a scaffold, I laid DeepDream "flesh" on top. I know, don't give up the day job....
One sad thing I did notice that when those modern AI image generators did come out, I stopped doing this stuff and any other image creation. I should get back to it. To space bandwidth, I did shrink all the images so they are more pixelated than the originals.

These are the first two books I've made with a leather binding. They are also the first two that did not feature my own writing. At some point I realized I might want to do a simple decoration on the front to distinguish that from the back, but I'll have to proceed carefully, since they are already a done deal.
PS. There are flaws. It's impossible for me to make a perfect thing. But they do feel good to the hand.
PPS. I got the text from Project Gutenberg. I've wondered why our publishers don't do nice editions of Dunsany. Or do they? All I've found are POD paperbacks of ugly aesthetics.
PPPS. I used hand made marbled paper for the endpapers that I bought. Beautiful stuff. I did not make those.

That is a fascinating form of art, a true display of craftsmanship. I congratulate you on your skill.
More darkroom joy. I've finally worked through all the images I took last fall on a trip to see my parents, at least in terms of straight prints, though I've also done some experimentation. There'll be more of that, but it's time to take some new shots. Here are a few:

I wanted to share this illustration that my friend Fabien Palmari created for me—one of several designs to choose from—as the cover art for my book, NOCTILUS: Life and Oneiric Works of Eric Krause, which will be published on August 15.
The idea was to evoke the minimalist aesthetic of books such as those published by Swan River Press, while also remaining faithful to the meaning and atmosphere of the work itself.
This particular illustration is simply titled Noctilus.

Hello everyone. I just found out this section existed thanks to R. Von Pnaklendorf. I would like to leave you an album I made compiling my drawings:
I've done my share of freelance illustration work over the years. Mainly in the music world and some book covers. In recent years I've become more and more focused with my writing and mainly paint for my own amusement or to illustrate my own musical and literary works (or those of close artists). Here's some of my oils on canvas. It is my most beloved medium (with pen&ink & watercolours being close seconds).

Yes, I try to be careful. Even so, they’re only suggestive in nature, but I have been concerned about these drawings in the past and have mentioned it to Bantham. In fact, I think I’ll take your advice into consideration and go through the album of drawings I have. I appreciate the advice.
EDITED: I’m glad that, despite everything, I still have all my drawings in a physical folder. I’ll scan them, censor them, and upload them again. Thanks for the advice, @Zaharoff. Sometimes I tend to be a little too open-minded, especially because I never try to appeal to prurient interests… but I understand what you mean. I’ve decided to delete the album. I created it when I had just joined and wasn’t as familiar with how things worked here.

So long as members do not get "personal", tossing insults, bullying, etc ...
Nevertheless, any guest, any outsider can freely wander the site.
They can see casual profanity, thoughts on religion, politics, natalism.
If your art is provocative, influenced by Giger, Hoffine, Beksinski, it is on view to the public.
Mind you, folks are not coming here hunting for ice cream recipes.
In the long game, it matters little. TLO is not Blogger, not even Wordpress.
(I am on both platforms, my Index, of all things, is banned on one - no idea why.)
There are no rules of conduct here, you must rely on your own judgment.
Mine has always been: are you OK if your posts are seen by family, coworkers, boss, neighbors, spiritual guide?
If you overstep, Bantham or Locrian will PM you.

Good to know. No, I don't have a problem with people I know personally seeing what I do here. Still, out of respect for the others on TLO, I prefer to censor those drawings when I re-upload them. That's more of a personal choice on my part.
