Your shelf of Ligotti?

Nothing too special, unfortunately; but on a side-note that may interest some: I no longer own this exact copy of Teatro Grottesco, having imparted it to Michael Gira of SWANS after their most recent show in Richmond, VA. Needless to say, I've since replaced it. :D

I usually don't collect more than one copy of a title, except SOADD.

What's the point of owning more than one copy of the same thing? I would understand if it was a different cover, or slightly different text or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I get collecting, but having the same thing multiple times for the sake of it seems redundant to me.

Well, I have many copies of some of Tom's books, and many duplicates. I've been collecting his works, in all their forms, for about 20 years, and I've seen some pretty wild things happen in the world of Ligottiana, if you will. To be honest, some of my dupes were acquired as an investment, not really to sell, but just to have to give as gifts to people that I feel might read and actually "get" Tom's work. Having said that, I occasionally do sell copies, and generally for prices that are very reasonable, as in, the original cover price. For example, a couple of years ago I had extra copies of TAROVFAOGT that I had accumulated and sold them to people on this board who had missed out on the opportunity to get them when they were easily obtainable and originally priced. So, having said all that, I have a pretty significant collection and may even offer dupes to people here some time in the future if I am so inclined. One of these days I will get all of my collection out and try and capture it all in one shot, or more likely, a series of shots, because it's gotten pretty out of control.

Ascrobius: I would sincerely relish the opportunity to obsess on the referenced photograph or series of photographs.

One of these days, my friend. I moved last Summer and I have many boxes of books still packed away, so when I start taking them all out and sorting through it, I'll find a way to capture the essence of all my stuff the best I can. One of the problems is that so much of it goes beyond just TL books and gets into the "ephemera" category, so it's a lot harder to capture that in a photograph. At some point, however, I am going to try and take pics of every signature/inscription I have, which is I believe, well over 100, I think. I also have quite a few unpublished, hand-written manuscripts, unpublished prose pieces, some poems written by Tom, hand written versions of intros he's written for various books, and so forth. So to me, what I have goes pretty far beyond a "book collection", per se, which makes it hard to display without the luxury of the "observer" being able to read the various and sundry pieces of text, if that makes sense. Same goes for the art portfolios I have collected, which are primarily Ligotti-related pieces, many from HOM.But yeah...at some point I will find a way to share what I think many here would greatly appreciate. Some of it, which I consider unpublished works, I promised Tom I wouldn't make public, just because I never know what someone might want to do with it, and out of respect for him.

My humble collection.I am planning to get the comic book adaptations and "Born to Fear".I also own the anthology "999" (Where The Shadow, The Darkness first appeared) but couldn´t find it.
Missed the time when "Agonizing Tales..." was reprinted and was in a really bad finantial status when "Death Poems" was released.I ended up getting "Death Poems" in ebook format.Note another favorite author to whom Ligotti is very keen right beside his books...

I don't really have a shelf. I just a sequence of platforms upon which books are lazily placed according to my need for them. I'm sure one could track my emotional or intellectual state by looking at which books lay at the bottom, and which ones lay at the top. Tom's stuff is almost always at the top, though.

There are a handful of PB editions of the SP books floating around that happen to be uncorrected proofs. I have copies of all of them. You'll see them for sale from time to time. They say "Uncorrected Proof", in yellow, right across the front cover.

I did get my copy of the Nightmare Factory graphic collection signed by Ben Templesmith, on the first page of his visual adaptation of Dream of a Mannikin - he mentioned he'd never previously signed a copy.

I loved some of the earlier photos in this thread, which have now been deleted. Since this thread is now updated so rarely I'm no doubt howling against the lonely wind, but here's hoping more of our bibliophile brethren and sistren post photos of their treasures.
