ICU?

I was browsing some horror collections online and I found one with a Ligotti story entitled "ICU". Having never read or heard of it, I told the library to put it in hold for me.

Can anybody tell me anything about this? thanks

I do not believe that this is a story by Thomas Ligotti. Instead, I think you may have been mislead by an erroneous listing of content from the 999 horror anthology, which includes a story entitled
"ICU" written by Edward Lee.

This is a deductive guess, mind you, but I would say that this is the case. I once purchased a limited hardcover from Abebooks on the basis that Tom was listed among the signed authors. I was deeply disappointed after I received the book, thinking I had uncovered a hidden gem, only to find that there was no story by Ligotti included. The seller had apparently fell victim to the double edged sword of cut and paste posting. You should ask for a verification of content.

Those are both Ligotti stories, but I can't comment on whether they are included in the anthologies mentioned.

"The Bells will Sound Forever" is from In a Foreign Town, In a Foreign Land, while "Purity" was originally from Weird Tales (I don't recall which issue though; I've got it sitting at home somewhere).

no, they are in the anthologies, I was just curious if they were actually Ligotti material (unlike ICU, much to my chagrin)
