Re: TLO Member Interviews

I am greatly impressed by the mutual respect that has been expressed by TLO membership toward each of the interview subjects. Prospective interviewees need not be afraid or otherwise intimidated by the interview process. There are no wrong answers to the questions.

"What does it mean to be alive except to court disaster and suffering at every moment?"

Tibet: Carnivals?
Ligotti: Ceremonies for initiating children into the cult of the sinister.
Tibet: Gas stations?
Ligotti: Nothing to say about gas stations as such, although I've always responded to the smell of gasoline as if it were a kind of perfume.

Good job you didn't post that before I did my interview. It sounds too much like a challenge!!

I will likely reverse the gender of the voices when interviews with female members are presented. I do hope that everyone finds the new format appropriate.

Working in reverse, the interviews with Daisy, Candy and yours truly have been converted to audio speech files. Miss Plarr and Quisser can at times offer otherworldly pronunciations, which I can sometimes tweak phonetically. The remaining interviews will be converted very soon.

Re: TLO Member Interviews

Aaaaah...

A few of you have asked me who will interview ME.

I will gladly be interviewed. Two ways to do it: I can do it myself, which seems slightly conceited, and a bit pathetic. OR, some of my friends can cobble together a 20 question interview following the same basic formula, and I shall respond to it.

I leave this in Your capable hands.

Yours,
Jimmy

My idea is to have you interview Dr. Locrian and vice versa. Who better from either perspective? Can this be arranged?

Re: TLO Member Interviews

Not sure, Brian. Jon is pretty busy, but I still hope to interview him. I'll ask him if he'd be willing to return the favor for me.

On that note, round one is nigh complete. Only Tobias remains, and I expect to have his posted Thurday (hint, hint, T!), luck permitting. This week, I intend to begin sending forth interviews for round two. So far, I am pretty sure of the following interviewees, based on comments they have made in the past weeks:

Nemonymous
The New Nonsense
Matt Cardin
BenDK
Neurospaton

(if any of you listed above decide you'd rather not, no worries, just let me know)

I'm hoping for Dr. Locrian, and I will figure out who will be asked for the remainder. Any volunteers, or any suggestions?

Again, I am limiting it to ten, that's about all I can handle at a time, but anyone who wants to be interviewed probably will be, eventually. I'd like to keep this project going!

Thanks to All,
-Jimmy

I voluntarily suggest that the following TLO members would provide fascinating interviews: Aeron, Bleak&Icy, ElHI, Severini, simon p. murphy, Slurp Spider, and The Silent One. And no one should feel slighted if I didn't mention their name. I simply ran out of keystrokes, alas...
