Favorite Graphic Novels?

On a topic that may be of interest, I've been spending more time enjoying graphic novels and am curious what others here may recommend. My current favorites:

"Harrow County" is an ongoing series by Cullen Bunn exploring a young reincarnated witch who finds that extraordinary powers carry extraordinary responsibilities. A grim sometimes monstrous Southern Gothic story with lots of strange creatures and a bit of Addams Family thrown in. There are five compilations so far:

"Providence," the prolific Alan Moore's post-modern take on Lovecraft's Innsmouth-Dunwich tales, with the 2nd compilation just released:

"Monstress," a dark fantasy work by author Marjorie Liu and artist Sana Takeda describes a world which sorceress-assassins dominate a post-medieval human society at war with a half-animal, half-human hybrid nation violently oppressed by humans while simultaneously exploited for the magic inherent in their bones and organs. A sexy, violent, female-centric riff on racism and Othering that is matched by the intricate, baroque art. Volume 2 is just out:

"My Favorite Thing Is Monsters" is a rather astonishing work set against the backdrop of 1960s Chicago, a graphic diary of a 10-year-old girl, filled with B-movie horror and pulp iconography. In the midst of her sexual awakening as a Lesbian (sometimes masked as a werewolf), she explores the murder of her upstairs neighbor, a holocaust survivor, while interconnected stories of friends and neighbors unfold. The personal, the political, the past, and the present converge in a huge journal filled with amazing B-monster art and personal sketches. Volume 1 is out, with Volume 2 due to be released (alas) next spring.
