LORD OF THE LOST AND DIE KREATUR
Since there seems to be a bit of dark and dreamy music listed here, I wish to present the Hamburg band, Lord of the Lost, whose last album, Thornstar, was a fabulous excursion in to gothic/progressive/metal sung in English. My favorite tunes are (all of them), but Black Halo, Morgana, and Lorelei are supported by excellent youtube videos.
In addition, Chris Harms, the creator and composer/lyricist, joined another popular German performer , Goi Dero of Oomph!, to produce a monster (sung in German): Die Kreatur's recent release, Panoptikum, a stunning work requiring no translation (although there are English lyrics on some youtube videos). Both these bands are my latest musical obsession. | |||||||||||
