Your ideal Ligotti reading companion(s)?

For anyone who likes a little creepy background music whilst taking in some Ligotti, I don't think it gets any better than Lustmord. Going back and re-reading Ligotti's entire catalogue set to Lustmord's dark ambient music has put even more intense feeling into the stories, in my humble opinion. He has many albums that you can find right on youtube, below are a couple of his more well known works. Highly recommend!

Current 93 collaborated with Ligotti on an album specifically to accompany In a Foreign Town, In a Foreign Land.

I usually pick an Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse track/upload at random. He makes some of the most moody and unsettling dark ambient out there in my opinion.

Henry Cow/Art Bears or Karlheinz Stockhausen, with a glass or two of red wine.

Re: Your ideal Ligotti reading companion(s)?

Godspeed You Black Emperor.

And I would love to read a Ligotti book featuring the paintings of Mark Rothko.

Your fall should be like the fall of mountains. But I was before mountains. I was in the beginning, and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am not the wheel. I am the hand that turns the wheel. I am Time, the Destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space. To me the coming and going of Man is as nothing.
