Re: 2014.. what forthcoming books are you excited about?

Forthcoming books by Mark Samuels! Along with The Spectral Link, they will be the Bright Spots of my year -- a year in which I purchased only a few books: The L. A. Lewis collection Tales of the Grotesque (which I've just begun), and Ana Kai Tangata, the latter purchase due to njhorror's infectious enthusiasm and a book which I believe Nemonymous is now reviewing...
My eyes have really slowed me down.

I think Scott is a promising writer, and look forward to more from him.

Now, if I could only finish his book . . .

Re: 2014.. what forthcoming books are you excited about?

I think Ana Kai Tangata was the best story collection of 2014 so far. Of course, there are some I haven't read yet, but I expect AKT will be nominated for some awards for Best Collection.

Re: 2014.. what forthcoming books are you excited about?

I just read Scott's story in Year's Best Weird Fiction ("Eyes Exchange Bank") and it was fantastic. I'll have to check out his collection.

By the way, I also really enjoyed The Phantasmagorical Imperative and Other Fabrications by D.P. Watt. I'd recommend it.

I've stopped watching. Ran out of money buying other books. Such is life.

You go right back to the Egaeus website and keep on waiting, young man. I don't care if your eyes are bleeding from not having blinked for weeks and all your limbs have atrophied!

I agree, but there's little doubt in my mind, that Stranzas and Daniel Mills, will also be mentioned a lot at award time.

I've just read the ARC for Mike Allen's UNSEAMING. It's very strong! As is Robin Sprigg's new collection.
