It's a shame his correspondence with Ramsey Campbell doesn't survive.
Editing Aickman's letters would be a big task, I imagine, and would require the generous cooperation of quite a few personal archives. I'd love the chance to read his letters to Kirby McCauley, but they are a bit pricey at $35,000. I've read plenty of his waterways correspondence in the National Archive and they get quite interesting mainly when it gets nasty, and Aickman doesn't always cover himself in glory.
