Human signposts disappearing into the sands, homes collapsing into the earth, meanwhile reclaimed by wilder animals.
And the light. No one who has ever visited can forget the constant shadings of light and color.
A gorgeous Zagava book, Jonas has also provided stark black and white photographs. (the one used here is not from the book)
Ordered.

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have been consuming whatever footage - old and new - I can find of the Hebrides online.

I've just ordered the paperback on Amazon; Jonas does a great job with these affordable paperbacks (in addition to the glorious limited editions)

Sadly, the latest email from Zagava includes the announcement of the forthcoming termination of all Zagava paperbacks available from Amazon. So if there were any titles you'd planned to pick up at the affordable prices offered by Amazon, then I suggest you do so immediately. I shall certainly be picking up a couple of titles before they disappear.

I'd had Mark Valentine's The Uncertainty of All Earthly Things and Quentin S. Crisp's Shrike on my 'to-buy' list for the best part of a year, so I've snapped up both titles before they disappear from Amazon.

I never received the email.
The "chatter" is likewise new.
Where did you hear this?
This is the only horror / strange / weird forum I frequent.

It was mentioned on yesterday's Zagava newsletter - here is the whole statement regarding the paperbacks :

"For a number of reasons I will terminate offering paperbacks through Amazon, so please do use this last opportunity to choose from over 40 Zagava titles. The larger deluxe paperbacks manufactured in Bavaria will still be through the website."

From what i understand, some paperbacks will be still available from his website, but he does not indicate which (or at least i do not know which of his paperbacks are under the deluxe that are manufactured in Bavaria).


I would also suggest to everyone to grab the Quentin S. Crisp’s booklet “The Little One” - it is not a new publication, but Zagava seems to have some extra copies of.Read it recently and it was a very satisfying story.
