Brian Stableford

Nearly finished one of his big novels and I just wanted to make a thread because I plan to read many more.

The quasi-official site, very extensive and helpful
Contents

These are helpful but don't cover much of his fiction from Snuggly, BlackCoat Press or Wildside Press, which is now a huge chunk of his output.

Some interviews where he talks about the best books he has translated, but keep in mind the newest interview is from 2018 and he has translated so much since then. He gives great interviews.

One moment, please...

2016 interview. If you have patience to listen to him pause for a french translator and turn up the sound a bit, this is a good interview. He often shows a humor about being disappointed but not surprised by so many letdowns in his career.
Mentions Prelude To Eternity, Alien Abduction: The Wilshire Revelations as some personal favorite novels and very few people seem to have read these. I don't know if they are absolute favorites or just the ones that came to mind. He has now completed this stated ambition to write 100 novels.

He has a bunch of interviews on Prisoners Of Gravity, which had a sort of comedic presentation I found a bit irritating but it's still fascinating to see so many of these writers being interviewed back then. Stableford talks about how overwhelmingly negative stories about immortality are, but he himself would risk horrible boredom and choose immortality for himself.

I read one of his pre-pulp science fiction anthologies: Scientific Romance a couple of years ago and the extra notes made it so much more than it would have been without them.
