Lovecraft eZine

Hello all. I know there are a great bunch of writers kickin around here, so I just wanted to post a little something about the Lovecraft eZine for those of you who don't already know about it. I recently joined the editorial team as a slush reader, and so I'm trying to bring in some more high-quality stories. It's a free e-zine published once a month, and it pays $50 per accepted story, usually about 6 a month. And I greatly welcome reading Ligotti style Lovecraft stories, as I'm pretty sure I favor Ligotti's work over Lovecraft's, but I'd really have to meditate on that to be sure. Anyway here's a link to the website, and thanks for your time! Lovecraft eZine

Re: Lovecraft eZine

I love the Lovecraft eZine because, as a writer, it gives me an experimental outlet. I have, of late, been obsess'd with ye prose-poem and vignette form (and wow am I ache to read THE AGONIZING RESURRECTION OF VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, the trade edition of which is now sold out) and have been using the Lovecraft eZine as a way to experiment with these forms and get them to readers. Not only has Lovecraft inspir'd this new obsession with the prose-poem/vignette form, but so to, definitively, have Tom and Clark Ashton Smith and Samuel Loveman. I've been trying to write one new vignette per month for the ezine, but bad health and insanity have prevented me from penning something for ye October issue. This ezine is a perfect vehicle for those of you who may want to experiment with aspects of Lovecraftian horror in various literary forms.

"We work in the dark -- we do what we can -- we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art."

Re: Lovecraft eZine

It's been wonderful being able to read so much of your new work over there, W.H. And I think it's great that you and Joe and Willie submit stories there. I look forward to reading more of your stuff whenever circumstances become favorable. And thanks to everyone else for taking a look at the first post!

Mike and I had a falling out a while back. Since then I don't submit anymore.

Re: Lovecraft eZine

Hi, so I do know that the eZine issues are available each month on Kindle, not sure if that also means PDF. Same thing? Yes? No? Not my department. Thanks for taking an interest!

Re: Lovecraft eZine

Issue #11 of Lovecraft eZine is live! Features my story "Marked as Urgent," as well as other fine tales from John Claude Smith, Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire, Mike Davis, and Brian M. Sammons, plus a ton of great art. Head on over there and check it out, and be sure to comment on the stories! http://lovecraftzine.com/issues/issue-11-february-2012/

My story in the issue of the Lovecraft eZine centers around simulated realites and the tentacled sky gods who control them -- a sort of Matrix/Lovecraftian mashup. Go on and check it out, you know you wanna! http://lovecraftzine.com/issues/mark...by-a-j-french/
