Re: D.F. Lewis

Having previously tried to prove that my Portuguese publisher is actually Tarzan, I now make the equally futile attempt to demonstrate that D.F. Lewis and Garth Marenghi are one and the same:

Re: D.F. Lewis

That film is hilarious, Rhys. Actually the 'maggots' start gave me the creeps. It felt like me talking. You have a very strange perception of reality...but who knows?

Re: D.F. Lewis

BTW, Rhys, I've just noticed your reference to Ramsey Campbell in your post about Marenghi on the Postmodern Mariner site. Just like to say, that I don't think his work fits into that context as you've described it. His work has always been on my favourites list since the late sixties to the present day. For example, have you tried "Grin of the Dark"? I think you will like it.

Re: D.F. Lewis

You're right, Des, of course. I concealed Ramsey's name among the others because I wanted to be mean. I believe I succeeded in this endeavour. I didn't expect anyone to notice, so kudos to you!

Re: D.F. Lewis

BTW, Rhys, The Rime of The Postmodern Mariner is a great name for a blog but surely a postmodernist would change Coleridge's Rime to Rhyme (Rhyme has an old tyme look to it in a modern way!), unless Rime = the 'rime' that is is the 'white or milky and opaque granular deposit of ice formed by the rapid freezing of supercooled water drops as they impinge'.

Re: D.F. Lewis

They certainly do impinge!

Later this week I'll probably explain why I'm sometimes unfairly mean to some writers. I don't have time today.

Happy Birthday, by the way!

Where I live.
This was the then mysterious beginning of the process (November 2008):

And here today is the end result:

Can anyone tell me why the wind turbines look much bigger when viewed from the bottom of a road leading to the sea front than when viewed from the sea front itself?

Re: D.F. Lewis

I'm really off now for over two weeks.
Be good.
Just before I go, thanks to Bendk for setting up this thread in 2005 - an event that first enticed me to years of enjoyment here on TLO. And thanks to GSC and Spot for the DFL-participated Quirks and everything else. And to Dr Bantham literally for everything else here.
And thanks to the wonderful InkerMen Press for Weirdtongue .... and thanks to Chomu Press for Nemonymous Night in the future. Meanwhile, have a look at the hawling-points in the signature below.
