On February 4th, 1998, Jon Padgett unleashed a horrific vision upon this world. THOMAS LIGOTTI ONLINE was created to champion the greatest living horror/weird fiction writer. Many thanks must be extended to Jon for his initiative and effort to bring the Ligottian world to those receptive - yet hidden within the mindless masses. He has undoubtedly introduced countless readers to Tom's work and hand laid the foundations for the community herein. A tip of the surgeon's cap to you, Jon!

Thomas Ligotti Online is a superb creation and I am very pleased and proud to be a member of this community.

After my initial discovery of Thomas Ligotti’s excellent work it was a joy to find this site; entering tentatively through its dark, but welcoming doors after I turned up here one stormy night, looking to use a telephone when my car broke down.

Not only has it helped me satisfy my barely controllable cravings for more of Mr Ligotti’s superb work, but my exposure to other worthy literature, art and film has increased immeasurably.

A very Happy Anniversary and congratulations to those who are behind its creation. You have every right to be very proud, the forum is a dark & wonderful masterpiece of art in itself.

Yeah, exactly!
I mean..., I'm talking about myself. Gosh, I still remember visiting this site as a teenager reading the likes of John Saul, unaware of most of the quality weird fiction produced at the time and looking for other human beings who've experienced the icy bleakness of things.
